The Digital Universities Asia Conference in Bali, 1-3 July 2024, provided a deeper understanding of the internationalization efforts by the Indonesian universities. Over the course of three days, the conference presented and discussed digital connectivity landscape, issues, unchartered possibilities, as well as the impact on academic community.

The networking opportunities for us was of another level! Truly an amazing event! We introduced our services, explored collaborations, and otherwise simply enjoyed getting to know university representatives, many of whom are decision-makers. Among those we had the pleasure of meeting were representatives from Universitas Indonesia (Indonesia), Universitas Ngurah Rai (Indonesia), Taylor’s University (Malaysia), Singapore Institute of Technology, Institute Teknologi Bandung (Indonesia), Queensland University of Technology (Australia), University of Wollongong (Australia), Universitas Ciputra (Indonesia), University of Santo Tomas (Philippines), Universitas Terbuka (Indonesia), Raffles University (Malaysia), Woxsen University (India), Times Higher Education, Future Learn, and Open Learning.

A number of follow-ups were expected; a great new chapter for X-I, indeed. After the last day of conference, the Universitas Ngurah Rai generously invited us for a further discussion with Prof. Dr. Ni Putu Tirka Widanti (Rector), Prof. Dr. Ade Maharini Adiandari (Vice Rector of Academic Affairs), and Dr. Nyoman Diah Utari Dewi (Director of Post Graduate School). Such a privilege!

We also had the opportunity to tour the campus, where we met up with students of Arizona State University (US) on an immersion program at the university. Here, they posed with us in their pencak silat uniform.
